Have you ever been in a situation in which you felt that your comfort zone expended, when the rules, that had previously existed, began to change?

I’ve had recently such an experience during my 3,5 hours of climbing on Durmitor’s peak, Bobotov Hook, 2,523 m  high. At the very beginning, I realized that the mountain’s peak could not be reached with my usual hurried steps, because I would become short of breath. It is like the nature has been teaching us to obey its laws.

My inner dialogue, which sometimes became louder than our team conversation, posed different questions in certain moments: Did you really need this in such a beautiful sunny day?, How much more do we have from here to the top? Are you playing partisans? They knew why they were climbing the mountains, what about you?, What if I overestimated my physical fitness?"...

I paid attention to the more experienced members of our team who skillfully kept on going forward, breathing moderately and calmly looking at the surroundings and I started applying the secret that they had shared with us. They said that the difference had been in slowing down, taking step by step ahead with the knees fully straightened on the end of each step, and the change happened...

I became aware of calmer breathing and the surge of energy. It was a reward for respecting and learning the laws of the nature, which we were visiting as guests!

At this crucial moment, while the peace was spreading with each new breath, I focused my attention toward the goal and for the first time I noticed all the beauty of the mountain and clear footsteps to the peak illuminated by the sun, the Bobotov Hook.
