AMC Newsletter January 2019: If you wish to evaluate...

January 2019

The professor approached his well known and respected colleague, condemning her studies as illogical, inexperienced and false. The accused professor took out a little shiny stone from her handbag.  She pointed at the entrance of a big mall and said Take this shiny stone to a shop that sells dishes and check whether you can get 100 gold coins for it.

The professor had several unsuccessful attempts in different stores. He failed in getting more than 100 silver coins.

Perfect, said the accused professor.  Now go to a first gold jewelry store and check how much the goldsmith is ready to pay for the little shiny stone.

The professor went to a first gold jewelry store and was astounded when the goldsmith offered him 10 000 gold coins for the small shiny stone.

The accused professor then her colleague: Your understanding of real knowledge and of knowledge that I teach my students is the same as the understanding of a dish seller’s understanding of precious stones.  If you wish to learn to evaluate precious stones, become a goldsmith.

January is slowly passing, covered with a white blanket.  We were recently surrounded with even more whiteness during a positive Team Building training at mountain Zlatibor that was covered with snow.

Our clients have chosen to work on the Survival simulation in which the team was stuck after a helicopter crash in the Cascade mountains. This contributed additionally in checking their creativity and team synergy.

We are looking forward to our March training of advanced negotiation skills that is coming up soon!

March 15th – 16th, 2019 (Friday-Saturday)

How to Improve Your Negotiation Skills

Target group: Key Managers, Purchasing Managers, Sales Team Leaders, Directors & Company Owners

The training was a completely new experience for me. I have not had the opportunity so far to attend such an interesting, highly professional training. The training led me towards totally new ways of thinking regarding business relations and negotiations.  It also helped me to get to know myself and people around me through different aspects.

When my colleagues who had already attended this training told me that I would be more than satisfied, I was pretty skeptical. Trainings are usually uniform, but this training definitely confirmed that there are beautiful exceptions to every rule! Thank you for everything once again.

I am sending you my regards with the thoughts for the month of January: How often do we assess others, in which ways and what is it that we could change about it this January?

IN THE NEW 2019, THE NEW YOU!

Sincerely,
Gordana Berger
